Why a Physician?

Lack of Erections?

A Better and Healthier Life for you and your partner could start in your physician's office!

E.D. is the inability to get or maintain an erection firm enough for intercourse. This could mean you can not get an erection at all or that you cannot maintain it long enough to complete intercourse.
Attaining an erection is not an uncomplicated process.  It involves psychological arousal and physiological processes.  Psychological causes frequently are at work with younger men and physical problems are usually at work in older men.

Physical problems may include:

  1. Diseases such as diabetes or hypertension, low testosterone hormone levels, previous prostate surgery, etc.
  2. Use of some medications, for instance beta blockers;
  3. Alcohol or nicotine use; and
  4. Stress.

Psychological problems can stem from poor communication with a partner or expectations that are too ambitious.

Those unable to achieve and keep an erection more than 25% of the time could have a problem and should see their doctor.  There are drugs now that can be used for this problem but these drugs are not a cure all and should not be used in certain medical circumstances.  MORE ….
